The Prime Minister approved the recommendation of the Economic Committee to set the selling price for one kilogram of imported sugar beet seeds (autumn grain) for the 2021-2022 season to farmers at 30,000 Syrian pounds.

Al-Sulaiman added that the decision came after the committee in charge of preparing a study on the costs of importing multi-embryonic sugar beet seeds for the 2021-2022 season from the autumn lug, estimated at 29,400 pounds per kilogram, and the need to achieve stability in the cultivation of sugar beet and encourage farmers to plant the crop from the beginning of the season and support crops The strategy is in line with the government's direction.
It is noteworthy that this season, it was contracted with farmers to cultivate about 4,300 hectares in the Al-Ghab area to operate the Tal Salhab sugar factory, and the purchase price of one kilogram of sugar beet crop from farmers for the 2021-2022 season was set at 250 pounds.
