The French rugby sevens team easily beat Brazil 40-5 in Pool B, on the first day of the Olympic tournament Thursday in Tokyo, thanks in particular to six tries, including two doubles from Anne-Cécile Ciofiani and Lina Guerin.
Thursday morning, at Tokyo Stadium, France dominated (12-5) Fiji, which then defeated Canada 26 to 12 in the afternoon.

The seven French team will meet Canada on Friday at 9:30 am local (2:30 am French), for their last match of the group stage. Brazil will face Fiji earlier, at 09:00 local time. The final of the women's tournament is scheduled for Saturday.
