Trader Aldi's Essen and Hanover stores have canceled the launch of their home-stamped ready-to-wear sales campaign: deliveries from China are long overdue. The setbacks of the German supermarket giant are the latest to date listed in the press, which is already predicting a dry Christmas

Shortage of materials and industrial components combined with logistical difficulties to explain the slowdown in growth observed across the Rhine. Thursday, October 14, the main economic institutes revised their GDP growth forecasts for 2021 to 2.4%, pushing back the prospect of a catch-up to next year (4.8%).

"The German economy should return to normal use of its capacities in the course of 2022",

warn the six organizations involved in this seasonal exercise.
