An indictment was filed today (Monday) against Muhammad Hamad (25) from Acre for a terrorist act of serious injury with aggravated intent, a terrorist act of serious injury under aggravated circumstances, rioting and other offenses during the "Guardian of the Walls" operation - this was announced by the North District and Haifa District Attorney's Office.
According to the indictment, Hamad took part in the wave of riots that took place in the city of Acre, during which he and other rioters blocked roads with trash cans and other objects, threw stones and Molotov cocktails at the police, shot fireworks, set trash cans and tires on fire, and damaged property.
On top of that, the accused helped another suspect to climb a light pole, and tear off the camera that was on the pole.

On May 12, 2021 in the evening hours, the defendant, along with other rioters, were standing along the street in Acre and when they spotted a vehicle driven by a Jew, and while the vehicle was driving they threw dozens of stones at him and hit him in various places.
In his attempt to escape from the rioters, the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a wall, at this point, fearing for his life, the driver got out of the vehicle to flee the scene, and was then brutally attacked with iron rods, and stones thrown at him.
The complainant was knocked to the floor and beaten with sticks and stones.
The prosecutor's office filed an indictment against four other defendants in this assault incident.
