American gymnast Simone Biles, who previously withdrew from two competitions at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, decided not to compete in the trestle and uneven bars finals.
“After further consultation with the medical staff, Simone Biles has decided to withdraw from the event finals for trestle and uneven bars.
She will continue to be evaluated daily to determine if she will compete in the balance beam and floor exercise finals, "USA Gymnastics said in a statement.

"We have to protect our mind and body, rather than go out and do what the world wants us to do," Simon Biles said after retiring this week, arguing for mental health protection.
Biles, 24, one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, stepped aside during a dramatic team competition Tuesday, citing mental health concerns as she tries to protect "her body and mind."
She then withdrew from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics all-around individual competition to focus on her mental health, USA Gymnastics announced Wednesday.
