South Korea's Ahn San broke the Olympic record that has held for nearly 25 years in women's archery.
According to Sky Sports, San scored 680 points during the 72nd arrows classification round for women, breaking the record that Ukrainian Lina Herasmenko had 673 points in 1996.
South Korea's Jang Min-hee ranked second with 677 points, and her compatriot, world record holder Kang Chae-young, ranked third with 675 points, and she also beat the previous record of Mexico's Alejandra Valencia with 674.
The team event, which is based on the combined results of the three archers from each country, saw South Korea set a new Olympic record of 2,032 points.
