South Korea's professional baseball team has canceled a number of camps in Japan that had been planned this fall. There seems to be a deterioration in the relations between Japan and Korea, but people concerned with the camp have been confused.
In October and November, three teams of Korean professional baseball players Hanwha Eagles, Doosan Bears, and ktwiz, who were scheduled to visit in October from November to November, canceled the camp. Camps were planned in Miyazaki, Saito, and Hyuga 3 cities, but according to the officials, the intention of withdrawal was reported to the city side by the beginning of September.
The three teams have been camping in Miyazaki every fall for the past few years, and Doosan Bears has been a campsite for over 10 years since 2006. Governor Shungo Kono commented, “I am sorry to have withdrawn, but I would like to continue expanding the gate to the team.”
In Okinawa Prefecture, three Korean professional baseball teams were scheduled for autumn camps, but the two teams were canceled and one team reported that they would reduce or postpone the scale.
