Finally on vacation and without a negative Corona test: For many Germans this is now possible in Spain and Croatia - but not for all.

For months, in principle, no vacation abroad was possible without a negative corona test.

But that is changing now: Due to the low number of corona infections, Germany is no longer - or at least partially - a risk area from the point of view of Spain and Croatia.

Therefore, they

no longer

require

a corona test upon entry

.

Spain vacation for most Germans without a corona test

Only recently, Spain allowed, in addition to a negative PCR test, a rapid antigen test as proof of entry - but now the mandatory test is no longer required for

travelers from 14 federal states

, as these are no longer risk areas from Spain's point of view. You no longer need to show a negative corona test.

However, travelers from Baden-Württemberg and the Saarland are not affected

: You are still subject to compulsory testing if you have not been fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid 19 disease in the last 180 days.

Children under the age of twelve are excluded.

All travelers from Germany who arrive by air or sea are also required to fill out the online form before entering the country - regardless of which federal state they come from.

Also interesting

: travel warning for corona risk areas should fall from July 1 - almost 100 countries worldwide affected.

Croatia cancels corona test for travelers from Germany

Croatia follows the

green list of

the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)

for its entry rules

. Since 14 out of 16 German federal states are no longer classified as risk areas, travelers from these areas are no longer obliged to test. Exceptions are again Baden-Württemberg and Saarland, which are still marked "orange".

The Croatian Ministry of Interior declares on its website that entry from the areas on the green list will be "allowed

under the same conditions as before the onset of COVID-19

".

The prerequisite is that they do not show any signs of Covid-19 to travelers and have not been in close contact with a sick person.

In addition, they must prove that they have traveled to the border crossings of the Croatian Republic without staying in transit areas.

If you travel to Croatia from Baden-Württemberg or Saarland, you still need a negative PCR or antigen test or proof of complete vaccination or recovery.
