LE FIGARO. - Your new record does good in this dark period!…
Ron MAEL. - The only advantage of this atrocious period is that everything we can do creatively has even more impact than usual. This is why we did not want to delay the release of the album. We don't compose music to cheer up crowds but if it helps people, we are very happy.
What was your state of mind when writing these songs?
Ron MAEL. - We were motivated to return to three or four minute song formats. We didn't have a particular concept but we were inspired by the reactions to our Hippopotamus album, which seems to have had more impact than our other albums. We hope we have been musically consistent and
