Spectators disturb silence minutes at game Germany vs Argentina

Before the German international match against Argentina was thought in a minute's silence the victims of the attack in Halle. Meanwhile, a spectator sang the national anthem and caused a scandal.



After the attack on the Jewish community in Halle came before the international match of the German national football team against Argentina to a scandal. The minute before the match was apparently disturbed by a man loudly roaring the national anthem, as was clearly heard on television.

The occasion of the silence was the attack on the Jewish community in Halle. There at noon a man had allegedly shot a passerby near the Jewish cemetery and a guest in a kebab snack bar. The alleged perpetrator had also tried to penetrate the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur in a synagogue.

Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said that there is sufficient evidence for a possible right-wing extremist background in the opinion of the Attorney General. "According to the current state of knowledge, we must assume that it is at least an anti-Semitic attack," said Seehofer.
