Palzing gave hope for a moment: Captain Fabian Radlmaier (left), here in a duel with Kammerberg's Thomas Eichenseer, scored the 1:2 goal in the meantime.

However, SpVgg countered with two goals.

The course of the game was not as clear as the result, but SpVgg Kammerberg used their chances against SVA Palzing.

Palzing/Kammerberg

– Jonas Grundmann started, lifted his head and saw that Palzing's goalkeeper was too far in front of his goal.

At full speed, the Kammerberger circled the ball from 30 meters past him into the net.

This goal, which is well worth seeing, should have deserved exuberant cheering, but Grundmann decided against it.

Out of respect for his former teammates from SVA Palzing.

With his two goals, he played a key role in SpVgg Kammerberg's 4-1 away win, which after a mixed start to the season in the North District League, continues to climb.

Berndl missed the lead for Palzing, Grundmann with a stroke of genius

In Palzing, the guests couldn't push through their game at first, because the SVA held up well.

In the eighth minute, the home team had a huge chance to take the lead after a corner kick, but Maximilian Berndl headed over it from a free-standing five yards.

After that, both teams fought an intense, balanced duel that initially lacked the big highlights.

That changed in the 39th minute when the Kammerbergers built up the center.

The ball got into Grundmann's run via player-coach Matthias Koston, who scored the lead through a tunnel.

In the second half, the Kammerbergers, who were equipped with more individual class, played more ripped off.

And up front they had a Grundmann who made it 2-0 with his dream goal (68th).

Last season, the double goal scorer was still on the other side - and contributed two goals in the 4-0 victory of Palzinger over SpVgg.

SVA coach Gianluca Dello Buono knew Grundmann's strengths, but said with a wink: "I didn't see anything like that from him for Palzing last year."

(By the way: everything from the region is now also in our regular Freising newsletter.)

But the home team didn't give up and rewarded themselves.

Fabian Radlmaier scored the goal in the 78th minute with a fine lob.

Hope sprang up.

"We already thought that something else was possible," admitted Dello Buono.

But a little later, the Palzinger gave Marius Cosa too much space after a Kammerberg free kick.

The SpVgg striker used this for a header to make it 3:1 (85th).

The guests didn't let anything burn after that and made the result even clearer in injury time.

Substitute Damjan Knetemann scored from the sidelines from an acute angle to make it 4-1.

SVA keeper Michael Wellenhofer, who had already cut a bad figure when Grundmann scored, definitely had to take responsibility for this goal.

The voices of the derby

Gianluca Dello Buono (coach, SVA Palzing):

"I had the feeling that some guys wanted more after our performances in the past few weeks - and then were dissatisfied because not everything worked out.

We were too negative, even before going behind.

And that shouldn't happen to us.

We have to stay more positive, work for the team.”

Onur Tas (assistant player coach, SVA Palzing):

"The first half was our better half.

Maybe we should have played even more forward.

We were safe at the back, we had them under control.

In the second half, Jonas' individual class and individual mistakes on our part decided the game."

Matthias Koston (coach, SpVgg Kammerberg):

"The atmosphere wasn't as heated as usual.

That pushed Palzinger.

It wasn't so hectic this time.

That was good for us.

We scored the goals at the right time today.

I'm happy with our performance, but we need to focus more on building up the game again."

Jonas Grundmann (double goal scorer, SpVgg Kammerberg):

"With the second goal I saw that he was too far out and then just tried it.

I wasn't celebrating because I had a great time in Palzing and they're all top guys.

For me personally, it was a very nice return.”
