Stephen Sondheim, legendary Broadway composer and author of musicals such as West Side Story, died at the age of 91.

Sondheim's death, his attorney explains, was sudden and took place at his home in Roxbury, Connecticut, where he had just celebrated Thanksgiving with some friends.
