Storm and flood risk in Bavaria: DWD warns of precipitation up to 150 l / sqm
The DWD expects a lot of rain in a very short time, especially in the eastern area, i.e. for Rosenheim to Berchtesgaden. It is also well known that rain clouds like to accumulate on the Alps and then rain down in a torrent. The DWD calls this congestion. The heavy rain is supposed to start around noon on Saturday. The end of the danger is indicated by the DWD as Sunday, 8 p.m. According to the DWD, “within 24 to 30 hours, quantities between 50 and 70 liters per square meter (l / m²) fall, from the Chiemgau Alps to the Berchtesgaden Alps by 100 l / m². In congestion areas and with shower-like reinforcements, especially east of the Inn, up to 150 l / sqm are likely in places. "
150 liters per square meter (about one bathtub for every square meter) would then be the quality of precipitation that triggered the catastrophe in the Eifel.

The Mangfall comes from the Tegernsee and flows through the districts of Miesbach and Rosenheim into the Inn.
The Tyrolean Aachen from Tyrol through the Chiemgau to the Chiemsee.
And the Traun flows from the Salzburger Land and comes through the Traunstein district.
