CFDT and Unsa at Paris-Beauvais airport have filed a strike notice which could lead to major disruptions in air traffic

Anger rumbles at Paris-Beauvais airport.

On September 26, the CFDT and Unsa filed a strike notice for Tuesday October 4 and Thursday October 6.

If this strike were followed by a large part of the airport's 233 employees, traffic on the airport platform could be severely disrupted, or even paralyzed.

This Monday, the unions and the executive board of Sageb (Beauvais airport management and operating company) which manages the airport, should meet to try to defuse the crisis.

A positive outcome that is difficult to predict when you know that the last meeting, last Friday, ended in a dead end.

"Management wanted us to lift the notice to start negotiations, which was out of the question," says Marc Slio, Unsa union representative, specifying that "if Monday's meeting starts on the same basis, we will go to the scrapyard. -pipe.

Last year, we trusted the management and lifted the strike notice without obtaining the promised negotiations.

On the table, the rules of the profit-sharing agreement, the Macron bonus

Among the union demands, the case of the 2019 profit-sharing agreement has returned to the table, even if it is currently the subject of legal proceedings.

“This 2019 profit-sharing agreement, signed in 2017, provided for the distribution of profits, recalls the trade unionist.

The management modified the envelope unilaterally and instead of distributing the 1.5 million euros of profits collected that year, it paid only 300,000 euros to the employees.

We are asking for the payment of the 1.2 million euros that are due to us.

Another request, the “payment of a Macron bonus of 2,400 euros” and a “general salary increase of 10% to keep up with inflation.

“The last increase dates from 2019, specifies Christophe Cachelièvre, union delegate.

We had 2% for supervisors and workers and 1.5% for executives.

The signing of a new profit-sharing agreement and a profit-sharing agreement is also on the menu of the negotiations.

Attendance records

They look tough.

“We are told that the boxes are empty while the airport is going to break all attendance records, deplores Marc Slio.

Sageb just wants to save time since its public service delegation ends in 2023.”

However, Sageb wants to be optimistic.

“Discussions are underway to try to find a favorable outcome by Monday evening, assures Edo Friart, commercial director of Sageb.

We are mobilized to try to avoid this movement.

For that, it would be necessary to accept all the union demands.

Unlikely.
