Despite all the joy: The tennis players of SC Eching do not want to overestimate the opening win.

- That was a really strong start to the season: The women of SC Eching set an exclamation mark on the first day of the Tennis District Super League with their 7-2 (5-1) win against TC Murnau.
Despite all the joy about the success, the Echingen women stay on the carpet and see no reason to revise their goals upwards.
When you first look at the statistics, everything looks very clear, because with the 5: 1 after the singles, SC Eching, who competed with almost the best team, had the overall success before the doubles in the tennis bag.
In the morning round of the first three singles, however, the beautiful summer day could have started very differently: Two of the three games went into the match tie-break - and that is often a matter of luck, because few rallies decide between victory and defeat.
Newcomer Julia Prantl won here, as did team captain Melanie Bahe.
Nina Eckart can hardly be defeated in the Super District League
The 3: 0 was more than half the battle - especially since top player Nina Eckart can hardly be defeated in the Super District League.
Eckart would also be a guarantor for a superior double with a possible 4: 2 lead after the singles.
In principle, Bahe sees her team in a good position in doubles, as they have known each other for a long time and understand each other blindly on the pitch.
Whether one can draw conclusions from this game about the further course of the season?
Bahe waves it away.
She points out that in the past season 80 percent of the league games ended 5: 4 - and this year there were twice this narrow result in the four league games on the first match day.
This is a sign that almost anyone can beat anyone.
Either way: The start was definitely a success for the women from Echingen.
