The Iraqi authorities have reported the arrest of the suspected chief financial officer of the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS).
The Sami Dschassim wanted by the USA was arrested during a secret service operation "outside the Iraqi borders", said the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhemi on Twitter on Monday.
Jassim is said to be the most important person in charge of finances at IS.
He is also said to have been the deputy of the former IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The USA offered a reward of up to five million dollars for the capture of Jassim.
In 2014, IS seized control of parts of Iraq and Syria.
Even after the military victory over the so-called caliphate in 2016, ISIS remains active in Iraq.
