Before the district league guest appearance at SV Ohlstadt, Polling's player coach Hans Huber calls for his players to take on more responsibility.

Polling – Although SV Polling hasn't turned its back yet, the much-cited infamous wall is approaching.

"The performances are good in training, the mood hasn't changed yet," says Hansi Huber, summing up the mixed situation at the district league after two defeats with a total of nine goals conceded.

The two opening games against Peißenberg (3:4) and Pöcking (2:5) taken together, there are several grievances that need to be remedied promptly in order to finally score the first points.

In the guest appearance at SV Ohlstadt this Sunday (2 p.m.), a solid and largely flawless team performance is indispensable anyway.

The hosts' squad has widened significantly during the week after the 2-2 draw at DJK Waldram.

And anyone who knows Stefan Schwinghammer from your time at ESV Penzberg knows about the fitness level of his teams.

"We will march for 90 minutes," announces the SVO coach.

SV Polling wants to strengthen the defensive

Meanwhile, his Pollinger colleague Huber, together with Michael Schöttl, has to come up with a recipe against the vulnerable defense in his team.

With the setbacks against Pöcking, the case is clear.

"Too far away from Clemens Link, and the other goal scorers had too little or no pressure from us," summed up the 34-year-old.

Sometimes the distances within the back four don't fit either.

Huber takes a different approach here.

"When I see an opponent standing free, I have to man mark and stick to him."

In addition, it is too quiet for him on the field.

Key word: communication.

More pronounced hierarchies would also be in the interests of the coaches.

"No one really takes matters into their own hands," says Huber, with a view to training and the game.

The team is now responsible, any excuses lose their validity.

"It has to burn from the first minute," Huber clarifies.

"Ohlstadt will do that for 95 minutes," he braces himself for a bilious adversary.

For the SVO it is the first home appearance.

Schwinghammer speaks of "18 equal players" and "spoiled for choice" when it comes to line-up.

With the exception of Fabio Hägl (vacation), the SVP can muster the workforce from the previous week.
