The record abstention recorded in the administrative (over 45% in the first round) is a trend that risks affecting also the political elections, according to the 'Radar Swg' observatory. Only 59% of those eligible would go to the polls (73% did in 2018), as emerged from the survey on a sample of 1,200 adults. The decline, explained in the analysis, "is partly due to the fact that we are still relatively far from the electoral appointment in question and the political offer is far from defined. But - it is emphasized - that 19% of voters usually used to voting who would not exercise this right in this situation ".

Among the reasons for the defections, 38% say they do not feel represented by any of the political forces in the field, and the figure rises to 47% among those who define themselves against the mandatory nature of the Green pass.

The hypothesis of allowing voting via the Internet, according to this poll, is not a taboo: 58% are in favor, and 18% of abstentionists say that this solution would greatly increase their likelihood of going to vote.

The observatory also reports the voting intentions updated to October 25: among the first parties there are Brothers of Italy at 20.7%, Democratic Party at 19.7%, Lega at 19.2%, Movimento 5 Stelle at 16 , 6%, Forza Italia at 6.8% and Action at 4.1%.
