Syria has expressed its condolences and sympathy to the Republic of Cuba for the victims of the fires that broke out in the oil tanks in the city of Matanzas, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that SANA received a copy of it. The government of the Syrian Arab Republic expresses its sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the Republic of Cuba and its people, and to the families of the victims of the fires that broke out in oil tanks in the city of Matanzas, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of citizens.
The Ministry continued, Syria affirms its sympathy with the friendly Republic of Cuba, the leadership and people, and its full support for this disaster and its support for all efforts made by the Cuban government to reduce the losses caused by these fires.
At the conclusion of its statement, the ministry reiterated Syria's full support for Cuba in these difficult circumstances and its solidarity with it to face all challenges represented in completing the development process and strengthening Cuba's steadfastness in the face of economic sanctions imposed on it by the United States of America, which should not be satisfied with issuing empty statements about the impact of these fires.
One person was killed and 121 others were injured after large fires broke out in oil depots in the city of Matanzas, Cuba, last Friday, after a thunderbolt.
