A delegation from Syria, headed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Dr. Muhammad Essam Hazimeh, participated in the annual conference of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions “AAOIFI”, which began in the Bahraini capital, Manama, yesterday, in response to an invitation from the Central Bank and the Syrian Islamic banks.
The Central pointed out in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today, to the importance of the Syrian participation in this two-day conference, after proving the development achieved by Islamic banks in Syria during its continuous work period for more than fourteen years, as Al-Ayoufi is considered one of the most prominent international organizations supporting financial institutions. In addition to the Arab welcome shown by the organizers for Syria's return to active participation in international and Arab meetings and conferences.
