Chargé d'Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Bulgaria, Muhammad Muhammad, discussed with representatives of the Bulgarian-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Bulgarian Parliament today ways to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
The head of the Friendship Group, Victoria Vasileva, stressed the depth of the historical relations between the two friendly countries and the determination of the new Bulgarian parliament to play an active role in revitalizing bilateral relations and pushing them forward, especially in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
Vasileva stressed that any solution to the crisis in Syria must guarantee its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, expressing her wishes for the return of peace and security to it.
In turn, Muhammad referred to the negative effects of unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people, calling for action to lift them.
Muhammad briefed the Bulgarian side on the details of the legislative amnesty decree No. 7, which comes within the framework of the efforts made by the Syrian state to achieve reconciliation and the return of the displaced to their homeland.
