(ANSA) - KABUL, OCTOBER 21 - The Taliban hit several journalists in an attempt to prevent media coverage of a demonstration for the defense of women's rights today in Kabul.

A group of about 20 women marched from the Ministry of Education to that of the Ministry of Finance in the Afghan capital, chanting slogans such as "do not politicize education" and displaying signs with written slogans, such as "We do not have the right to study. and working".


    The Taliban authorities have allowed women to move freely for about an hour and a half, according to what was found by AFP on the spot.

At the same time, a foreign journalist was hit with the butt of a rifle by a Taliban who, cursing, kicked the photographer while a tall man punched him.

At least two other journalists were shocked.
