A 15-year-old high school student was brought before a magistrate from the Paris prosecutor's office this Thursday morning, after the assault on a teacher from the prestigious Montaigne high school (Paris 6th) on Monday, the Paris prosecutor's office told

The student is
"summoned for a later date before the children's judge to rule on his guilt for acts of aggravated willful violence"
, further specifies the prosecution.
In the meantime,
"an educational measure has been put in place for it".

The young man violently assaulted a mathematics teacher at the Lycée Montaigne, Monday afternoon, in class.
The teacher reportedly made a remark to her student after he dropped his calculator.
The student would then have stood up and "
made a front to front with her,

The teacher was released from the hospital Monday evening but remains followed by medical staff.
The young man had been taken into custody after the fact.
A psychological unit has been set up for all the people and students of the establishment, the Paris rectorate told AFP, after having condemned
"the violence of the facts"
and provided
"support to the teacher and to the whole educational team ”.
