Tehran, SANA-The Iranian Foreign Ministry affirmed today that the Israeli occupation entity bears the political responsibility

Tehran-Sana

The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed today that the Israeli occupation entity bears political and legal responsibility for the kidnapping of four Iranian diplomats in Lebanon in 1982.

In a statement on the occasion of the thirty-ninth anniversary of the kidnapping of four Iranian diplomats in Lebanon, the ministry said that "due to the Zionist entity's occupation of Lebanon in 1982, the political and legal responsibility for the kidnapping of diplomats and this terrorist act falls on the shoulders of the Zionist entity and its terrorist protectors," stressing that following up the fate of the kidnapped Iranian diplomats is a priority. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is on the agenda of diplomatic relations with international and regional bodies.

The statement pointed out that the Iranian Foreign Ministry urges the current Secretary-General of the United Nations and other international organizations and institutions concerned with human rights, including the Red Cross, to pay more serious attention to this humanitarian issue related to international treaties.

It should be noted that on July 4, 1982, the car of four Iranian diplomats who were under the protection of the diplomatic police, in violation of international rules and treaties, was intercepted by armed mercenaries of the Israeli occupation entity in the Lebanese Barbara region and were kidnapped.
