Telekom cuts the tariff and terminates many customers without further ado

Telekom is ending the “Magenta Plus One” tariff.

The mobile operator Telekom terminates a tariff and terminates many customers without further ado.

However, the telephone company has provided for a successor.

Bonn - Some Telekom customers are currently receiving notice of termination.

The reason for this: the mobile phone provider Telekom is discontinuing one of its tariffs.

The "Magenta One Plus" offer is affected.

This is a combined tariff for landline and mobile communications, which not only offers flat rates for at home and on the go, but also does not require a long contract period.

After "Magenta Eins Plus" had been tested for years, the tariff was launched in autumn 2020 with a great deal of media hype.

As early as summer 2021, teltarif.de reported that the first customers had received letters of termination. Telekom denied this when asked by Merkur: "As a result of the sales cessation, we have not terminated any contracts." The mobile phone provider "only informed the customers in writing that we would be in touch with our customers "in the coming months" and together look for a suitable follow-up product".

Teltarif.de, however, is currently reporting again notices in which customers are advised that they must act if they want to continue using their telephone connections.

"We will switch off your connections and services on April 5, 2022," says a letter available to teltarif.de.

Telekom also confirms this to Merkur.de: "The customers who we have not been able to reach so far are currently (for the first time) receiving written notice of termination on April 5, 2022".

Telekom offers change to new tariff "Magenta Eins Unlimited"

If you have booked communitv cards, data cards, connect cards and basic cards in addition to the Telekom tariff "Magenta Eins Plus", these are also affected by the termination by Telekom, according to the magazine

Affected customers can now either switch providers or stay with Telekom.

The successor tariff “Magenta Eins Unlimited” is available there.

There, however, customers will again receive separate bills for landline and mobile communications, and the contract period will also be extended again.
