The practice of teleconsultation was widely imposed during the epidemic.
At the end of October 2020, at the start of the second confinement, 500,000 teleconsultations were indeed carried out per week, according to figures from the Health Insurance, while only 10,000 teleconsultations were carried out each week before the epidemic.
To closely follow this explosion, the DGCCRF unveiled on Thursday that it had conducted an "
exploratory survey
" with teleconsultation platforms.
5 compliance injunctions
103 checks were carried out on 69 operators, mainly platform headquarters and pharmacies offering a teleconsultation service. The result is mixed since nearly a quarter presented anomalies. "
23% of them presented anomalies which gave rise to 12 warnings and 5 injunctions of compliance, the pedagogical and corrective measures having been privileged in this sector with very recent development
", highlights the assessment of the DGCCRF .
In question, lack of information on tariffs and fees caused mainly by a lack of knowledge of the regulations.
But more problematic, the DGCCRF noted deceptive commercial practices such as "
the confused presentation of a
"
tele-advice "service not covered by the Health Insurance, unlike a teleconsultation
.
