The Thai government wants to facilitate the entry procedure for the tourism restart on November 1st.
The "Thailand Pass" should help with this.
From November 1st, vaccinated travelers from selected countries can re-enter Thailand - including Germans.
So far, holidays in Thailand have only been possible within the framework of model projects such as the Phuket Sandbox and under strict conditions.
In order to make the procedure a little easier for tourists, the complicated “Certificate of Entry” should be replaced by the “Thailand Pass”.
Vacation in Thailand: New system to facilitate entry
Precise details of the entry conditions, which should apply from November 1st for travelers from countries with a low risk of infection, have yet to be specified.
However, the Thai government has already announced via Twitter that
they
want to
use a new system with the “Thailand Pass”
.
Previously, travelers had to apply for their entry with the "Certificate of Entry" at Thai embassies and consulates.
The application had to contain, among other things, a copy of the passport, the tourist visa, a foreign health insurance as well as a flight and hotel booking.

The "Thailand Pass" is intended to
accelerate
this process as a
web-based system
by uploading the so-called "T8" form with health questions and the "TM6" entry form together with proof of vaccination.
According to the "Ease of Traveling" policy, a "Thailand Pass" system will be adopted to replace the majority of the COE issuance process after the reopening of the country to travelers from low-risk countries on November 1st.

The Department of Disease Control (DDC) will review the vaccination certificates and verify them within one to three days, the tweet said.
Travelers can then
download
the
Thailand Pass QR code
, which must be presented along with a corona test that is no more than three days old.
According to the government, the “Thailand Pass” should be available on November 1st.
However, those who want to enter by land or by ship still need the “Certificate of Entry”.
