This is how you sort clothes according to the three-second law (@kayleenkellyorganize)

Even though it's still warm, the clouds in the sky suggest that late winter fashion is finally coming and with it the most tiring task of all - changing a wardrobe: taking all the warm clothes out of the attic and making decisions - what goes back to the closet and what goes to the bin / donation. House organizer Kaylin Kelly claims to have a trick in her hand that will help you tidy up your wardrobe and reduce its contents - using the 3-second method.

"It's a tool I created that helps my clients make safe and quick decisions when they 'purify' their closet," says Kaylene Kelly in a video she posted on Tiktok. She then demonstrates: "You collect every T-shirt you have and put them in a pile. Now you're going to make a decision about each shirt - if so, keep it, if not - it's going." So what exactly is the trick? She says the decision must be made in just 3 seconds. If there is any hesitation - the shirt has moved to the group of clothes that are kept.

"It works great because when you have that time limit, you make decisions from the belly and do not give the brain time to provide you with all the reasons why you need to keep the shirt on," Kailin said. A little excitement for this process, which can be exhausting and slow. "

Many people in the comments were eager to try her three-second trick, with one explicitly stating how stressed she was from the moment she would have to part with her old clothes.

For people like her, cleaning expert Vicky Silverthorn has previously shared with the British Sun her advice to those who find it difficult to part with his clothes: "Many of us make the mistake of putting a sentimental stamp on items, simply because we have them for a long time," she says. She said, "But always ask yourself, 'Is this my taste? Do I have a place for it? And am I going to use it?'

"In most cases, your answer will be 'No.' Save only the items you really like."
