Fischbachau - After fees are due for additional parking spaces in Fischbachau, the local council is working on a concept.

Because parking spaces are to be managed more intensively in the future, the municipal councils decided after extensive consultation in July that all citizens with primary residence in Fischbachau can purchase an annual parking pass for 40 euros.

The administration then pointed out that the implementation of the resolution could be difficult.

In addition, a written complaint against it has already reached the town hall.

The majority of the municipal councils did not want to cash in on this decision in the most recent meeting, but instead spoke out in favor of trying it out for at least one year.

For church visits and shopping

As the building authority manager Werner Wagner explained, the annual parking card is expressly not valid for long-term parkers who want to secure a cheap parking space, but for visits to churches and shopping, for example.

Wagner sees the problem in controlling this in a differentiated manner.

In addition, it can be read in the draft resolution that it could be legally questionable to give preference to primary resident owners.

Mayor Johannes Lohwasser (FWG) therefore asked the group: “Do we really want to do this to ourselves?”.

Josef Obermaier (CSU) commented angrily about the renewed vote: “I don't understand.

We can't vote twice on one decision after the other. "At least, in his opinion, there should be a one-year test phase:" If our citizens are interested, why not?

You can park for two hours free of charge

Peter Rauffer (FaB) said that every local person should park for two hours for free, as is possible at the parking machines, for daily errands: "If someone really wants to stay longer, they just have to pay."

Bernhard Padeller (FaB) also spoke out in favor of a one-year trial phase, although he did not see long-term parking as an urgent problem: "For that we actually have the parking regulations, which we can also control." According to Wagner, the problem is the many old buildings , which no one paid much attention to when they were approved 30 or more years ago: "Who at the time assumed that a family had two or three cars?"

Concern about abuse

Eva Köhler (Greens) also feared that the annual park pass could very well be misused: "I'm thinking of the mobile homes with Miesbacher license plates that are already around wildly in the area." - Introduce annual trial card for one year.

In this context, when asked by Rauffer, Wagner announced that the parking machines that had been decided on for Mühlenweg and at Tregler-Alm had already been delivered and that they would be set up as soon as the power supply was on.
