Forstern's soccer women are really not lucky at the moment.
Against the strong Regionalliga promoted SV Hegnach it was a 1: 2 defeat.
The guest started quite offensively, although the defense is actually the showpiece. Forstern's defense got busy, speculating on a criminal offside position in one situation. The referee let the game continue, however, and so Hegnach's attacker appeared alone in front of Forstern's goalkeeper Tine Kneißl, who defended the ball outside the penalty area with her hand, which resulted in the red card. Melli Scherer came in for them - and was caught off guard, because Sarah Reichel circled the due free kick into the top left goal triangle (24th).
Even with one player less, Forstern pushed for the equalizer, which was in the air several times in a number of corners. But in this phase it became clear why the promoted team had only conceded two goals so far. Then Julia Deißenböck hit the ball from a half-right position into the penalty area, and the advanced central defender Martina Mittermeier extended the ball to 1: 1 into the goal (38th). A little later, Helena Altenweger had a good chance after a corner when Hegnach's defense failed to get the ball out of the danger zone at the six-yard box, but she set the shot a little too high.
In the second half, the chances for the outnumbered Forstern were getting smaller.
It is true that Veronika Auer and Franziska Stimmer in particular covered a lot of kilometers, but their strength slackened.
The promoted team got the upper hand and scored 2-1.
Forstern's defense was actually well sorted, and Ilire Balaj was covered, but not exactly.
From 14 meters she turned the ball into the corner of the goal (76th).
Despite the 1: 2, coach Florian Guggenberger remains confident: “We were the better team until we were sent off.
Hats off to my team for how they put away the dismissal and the resulting goal.
Unfortunately we are not in league with luck. "
