Popularizing economic topics that are in the news and may be misunderstood by the general public, this is the task that the Banque de France is tackling with its podcasts called "On parle cash", available on its site and on all listening platforms.
Launched almost a year ago, the initiative is particularly welcome.
Regularly, expert reports do not hesitate to point out the incompetence of the French in economic matters.
Because if they are numerous to be concerned with the questions of purchasing power, unemployment or taxation,
"their ignorance of these same questions is real, for lack of having the concepts and the tools necessary for their good understanding"
, underlined by example the Sapiens Institute in a study published in 2018.
