On Wednesday, the Law Committee began the marathon examination of a protean text which has 37 articles, 657 amendments and which will arrive, urgently, in the hemicycle on May 17.

All groups combined, the deputies are resolutely moving towards the audiovisual broadcasting of the hearings, article 1 and emblematic of the bill.

Points of divergence

No member of the Law Commission intends to insult the future and condemn this opening of courtroom doors to the general public.

But the demands for safeguards suggest a long discussion: what about “

everyone's consent, the right to be forgotten and the obligation to contextualize these broadcasts 

?” Asks Antoine Savignat, LR deputy for Val-d ' Oise, who thus sums up the reluctance of parliamentarians.
