Where PSA had built the world's first diesel engine factory in 1979, Stellantis is setting up its industrial center dedicated to electrics.
While the manufacturer has programmed the end of the production and sale of combustion vehicles in Europe from 2030 - a more ambitious objective than provided for in the climate plan adopted by Europe - it must now orchestrate the conversion of all its industrial sites.

The group intends to sell five million 100% electric vehicles in Europe in 2030. But its seven French “mechanical and raw” sites – excluding those for assembly – are still largely dedicated to gasoline or diesel engines.
150 million invested
Thus, in 2021, 67% of the production of the Trémery site was still dedicated to diesel engines and 18% to gasoline engines.
In 2024, it will only be 30% for diesel.
