The Department of Health stated that the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health will launch a territory-wide "2020 Population Health Survey" in early November to collect the latest information on the health status of the local population, health-related lifestyle habits and other health factors.
The survey is divided into two parts, including household interviews and physical examinations.

The Department of Health pointed out that the "Demographic Health Survey" uses a cross-sectional analysis to target land-based non-hospital residents aged 15 or above in Hong Kong, excluding visitors to Hong Kong, foreign domestic helpers, and two-way pass holders from the Mainland.
Interview and fill out the questionnaire first
The survey is divided into two parts, namely household visits and physical examinations.

Respondents will then be invited to fill out a self-filled questionnaire.
In addition to collecting household information and socio-demographic characteristics, the questionnaire also covers a series of health information, including physical health, psychosocial health, health-related lifestyle habits, and disease prevention measures.

Will receive free physical examination and test report sent for free
Respondents who have completed the above questionnaire will be selected and invited to the designated medical examination center to receive further free physical examination.
Interviewees will receive measurements of weight, height, waist circumference, hip circumference, and blood pressure.
In addition, laboratory tests will also be arranged to test the respondents' blood lipids, glycosylated hemoglobin and blood sugar, hemoglobin, iron levels, viral hepatitis, and urine sodium, potassium, creatinine and iodine.
The Center for Health Protection will send the test report to the interviewees free of charge, and will contact the interviewees with abnormal test results, give relevant suggestions and remind them to follow up with the doctor.
Attaches great importance to data confidentiality
The Department of Health also pointed out that the Center for Health Protection attaches great importance to the confidentiality of data, and all interviewers will bring "interviewer ID" for inspection.
