On Wednesday evening, the Karlsfeld community honored a woman and six men for their years of voluntary work.

The Golden Ring of Honor has been awarded twice, this is the highest distinction the community has to offer.

Karlsfeld

- A woman and seven men were honored at an evening of honor in the community center on Wednesday evening.

The former local councilors Holger Linde and Wolfgang Offenbeck received the Golden Ring of Honor, the highest award in the Karlsfeld community.

Mayor Stefan Kolbe presented the citizen medal to Gertraud Himmler, Gerhard Proske, Pietro Rossi, Horst Rubröder and Daniel Stöckel.

The activities of the honorees “may seem commonplace”, but their achievements “are a small contribution to making the world a better place,” said Mayor Stefan Kolbe at the welcome.

"Many volunteers seem quiet, unspectacular, without talking about it out loud," said the mayor.

"You just act!" That is not only associated with a lot of work, "but also with foregoing leisure and private life".

Holger Linde

began working on the Karlsfeld municipal council in 1993.

There he was a member until April 2020, for many years in the CSU parliamentary group, in the end he joined the alliance for Karlsfeld.

In the many years of his work, Linde was, among other things, sports advisor, chairman of the audit committee and, most recently, financial advisor for twelve years.

Linde always "meticulously made sure that the households were resilient," said Kolbe.

“He took a lot of time to find solutions in intensive discussions with the municipal treasurer.

In all his work in a total of 27 years, Holger Linde always had the wellbeing of the community and the population in mind. ”Linde was also involved in the Karlsfeld Motorsport Club and the Musikverein.

Wolfgang Offenbeck left his mark on district politics, but also on Karlsfeld municipal politics.

According to Mayor Stefan Kolbe, he always looked “outside the box”.

Kolbe awarded Offenbeck the community's Golden Ring of Honor for his commitment.

Wolfgang Offenbeck

was elected to the local council for the CSU for the first time in 1996. During the four terms of office he held various functions. Offenbeck was chairman of the CSU parliamentary group, chairman of the audit committee, financial advisor and from 2008 to 2014 second mayor of the Karlsfeld community. Kolbe described the honoree as a "formative force for the municipal council", Offenbeck had "always had the big picture in view" and "looked outside the box". Above all, the urban development of Karlsfeld was very important to the CSU municipal council. From 2008 to 2020 Offenbeck was also chairman of the CSU district parliamentary group. He did not run in the 2020 local elections. The honoree also earned services in TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld and in the Bund Naturschutz.

Gertraud Himmler

co-founded the Karlsfeld folk dance group D'Knödeldrahra in 1994. The group has long been known and loved far beyond Karlsfeld. There have already been performances in the Karlsfeld partner community Muro Lucano in Italy, at the “Oid'n Wiesn” in Munich and at the Federal Garden Show in the state capital. "For all of us, Gertraud Himmler is an indispensable personality in Karlsfeld when it comes to preserving traditional folk dances," said Mayor Stefan Kolbe in the laudation.

Gerhard Proske

made a decisive contribution to shaping two Karlsfeld clubs: TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld, where he was deputy chairman, and the Karlsfeld-Nord settler community, which he has been chairing to this day. Without Proske's commitment, there would be no settlers' festival in Karlsfeld. The now 82-year-old is also involved in the Eintracht Karlsfeld rifle club, in the reservist and warrior comradeship and in the home ownership association. “My wife has already got the medal,” said Proske, “so I made an effort”.

Pietro Rossi

can confidently be called "the face" of the football department of TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld. He has been working for the club and department without interruption since 1993. Rossi was a youth coach, treasurer and for many years a department head. Kolbe emphasized that Rossi always made sure that youth players are integrated and remain with the club. He also always promoted women's football. Pietro Rossi also sat for the CSU in the Karlsfeld municipal council for 14 years. In 2018 he moved to Ampermoching and therefore had to give up his mandate.

Horst Rubröder

is the "man for all cases" at the Karlsfeld Museum of Local History. He has been involved in the museum association since 1995. Over the years, he has precisely documented the work of the association, archiving around 7,400 photos during this time. Rubröder is also responsible for press work. But Horst Rubröder always lends a hand when there is something to do in the local museum. He also supports his wife Rosi in many social enterprises, for example in Treffpunkt 60. He has also been committed to the Karlsfeld Community Foundation for many years.

Daniel Stöckel

has lived in Karlsfeld since 1954.

In his hometown he has been active in nature conservation for more than five decades.

With great commitment, Stöckel ensures that gems such as the Schwarzhölzl, the wetland biotope on the Seeberg and many other biotope areas in the Dachauer Moos remain natural and untouched.

He has also received the Federal Cross of Merit for his outstanding voluntary work.

“The nature in Karlsfeld is very valuable,” said Stöckel, and in order to preserve it, the Nature Conservation Association needs the support of other volunteers.
