Nord Stream AG, the operating company of North Stream Line 1, announced a decrease in pressure on North Stream Line 1, indicating that the causes are being investigated.

And the Russian Sputnik news agency quoted the company as saying in a statement today: “The senders of the Northern Stream 1 control center recorded last night a decrease in pressure on the gas pipeline, and the reasons are being investigated.”

It is noteworthy that the work of North Stream 1 has been suspended since the end of last August due to problems in repairing turbines related to Western sanctions, but the pipeline remained filled with gas.

The official operator of the North Stream 2 gas pipeline had announced yesterday a record drop in the pressure that contributes to transporting gas in the pipelines, and said in a statement, “An emergency situation on line (A) of the gas pipeline recorded a record drop in the pressure level, as the accident was reported on FOR Coastal Services in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Russia.

The North Stream 2 pipeline extends from the coast of Russia through the Baltic Sea to Germany, and consists of two chains with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas.
