The championship of physical strength for males and females, which was held by the Lattakia Police Club, was concluded as part of the preparation plan to participate in the Republic Championship scheduled to be held on the 27th of this month in Damascus.
The junior category, according to the weight sequence, was won by Ahmed Haj Hassan (53 kg), Mohamed Ibrahim (59 kg), Karam Khabaza (66 kg), Muhammad Abdo (74 kg), and Muhammad Rayes (weight 105 kg). The women’s category ended with the victory of Reem Aziz (60 kg) and Roa Damiati (65 kg).
The director of Latakia Police Club, Haider Rajoub, said in a statement to SANA that the tournament is an opportunity to assess the level of the governorate’s players, and the best among them will be chosen to join the best from other police clubs in the governorates to form the central police team to participate in the upcoming Republic championship.
