The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that a number of roads in the governorates of Damascus Countryside, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous, Sweida and Quneitra are impassable or difficult to pass due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation.
The Traffic Department indicated in its bulletin this afternoon that all main roads in the Damascus countryside are passable, except for the Qatana area. Kafr Hoor-Sasa’ and Arna-Derbel road and Mazra’at Beit Jinn road-Herfeh and Heina road-Derbel-Arnah-Ain Al-Sha’ara-Khirbet Al-Suda and Qatana-Hina-Derbel-Arnah-Ain Al-Suda-Khirbet Al-Suda and Arna-Baqasm-Al-Rimah road All are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
Zabadani area.. All roads are impassable due to the accumulation of snow. Yabroud area.. Assal Al-Ward-Rankous-Al-Jabba road, Assal Al-Ward-Al-Jabba road, Al-Jabba-Yaboud road, and all roads leading to Jaba’adin and Al-Tal-Rankous-Housh Arab road are impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the road Ras Al-Maarra - Yabroud is difficultly passable due to the accumulation of snow.
Al-Tal area.. Sednaya-Menin road and Telfita-Halaboun road are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
Qudsaya area.. Al-Dimas-Maysaloon-Mazraa-Deir Al-Ashayer road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow, and the Damascus-Beirut road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
In Hama governorate, all roads in the governorate are passable except for the roads of Goren-Slanfeh-Qardah-Ain al-Krum-Al-Ghab and Shatah-Jobat Barghal and Masyaf-Wadi Al-Oyoun and Masyaf-Al-Bireh and Masyaf-Qusaya and Ain Halaqim-Ain al-Shams-Brashin and Masyaf-Qadmus-Shiha and Shanin-Awj and Nahr Cold - Beit Yashout is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
In Lattakia Governorate, all roads are passable except for the roads leading to the Slanfeh district - the entire broadcasting station, the Jubat Barghal road - Al Sha’ara - Al Ghab, the Harf Al-Masitra road – Al Sha’ara- Al Ghab, the Al Markiya road - the shrines of Bani Hashem- Astamna, the Garandah Al Ghab and Al Dalia road – Ma’arin and the Ain Al Tineh road – Busta Al Hajar. - Levin - and the Qardaha road - the letter of al-Masitra, and all the roads leading to the area of the letter al-Masitra and the road of Beit Yashut - al-Ghab - Bismalakh - al-Manizla - Bashili - Halabko - Hillat Ara - the vineyards are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
And the Dalyah-Jableh-Wadi Al-Qalaa-Jableh-Al-Qutaibeh-Daliyah-Beit-Ana-Batshah-Wadi-Al-Qalaa-Abu Qubeis-Bastawir-Khraib Salem-Al-Dalih-Al-Qusaiba-Wadi Al-Qalaa-Abu Rahiba-Duer Baabda-Harf Al-Sari Road and Al-Dalia-Ain Road Ghannam-Al-Mushairfa-Salima-Beit Louhou and Beit Al-Aluni-Harbuk-Bashraghi-Hammam Al-Qarahleh-Basnah and Aramo Road-Qeshaba-Al-Haffah and Al-Muzayra’a-Hattin-Deir Mama-Ain Al-Dara-Al-Siraj-Al-Masais-Karm Al-Ma’aysara are all impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
In Tartous governorate, all roads are passable except for the Safita area, the Mashta al-Helou-Baseera-Bitar road and the Kafr Jawaya road-Broadcasting Station- Nabi Saleh summit are impassable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow, and all roads leading to the Siba district are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
Qadmous area The Qadmous-Massaf highway and the Qadmous-Baniyas-Hammam Wasel road and the roads leading to the mills district and all roads leading to the Qadmous area are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
Baniyas, the Anazah-Al-Dardara-Alton Al-Jurd-Farroukhiya road, and the Khirbet Al-Sindianah-Al-Shamkha-Beit Gash road are all impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
Al-Dreikish area, the main road of Dower Raslan - Masyaf and all the roads leading to Dower Raslan sub-district and the Al-Safasif Road - Fjelit - Quniat Jarwa - the Shams - Kerfs road - and the Al-Muayselh - Beit Al-Waqf road are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
Sheikh Badr area All roads leading to Broumana Al-Mashaikh district are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
In As-Suwayda Governorate, all roads in the governorate are impassable with difficulty except for the roads leading to the Al-Mashnaf district and its villages, the Al-Mashnaf-Dahr al-Jabal road, the Kufr-Salkhad road, all the roads leading to Salkhad and its villages, the Namera-Um Dhabib-Tima-Ghaydah-Namirah road, and the Shahba-Shaqa road—all of them are impassable. due to snow accumulation.
In Quneitra governorate, all roads in the governorate are impassable due to snowfall, except for the Damascus-Quneitra road and the Jabbata al-Khashab-Tarangeh-Ain al-Tineh-Hadur road, which is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to exercise caution during the prevailing weather conditions, especially during the formation of snow or the occurrence of frost, fog and precipitation, and the need to ensure the technical readiness of the vehicle from the effectiveness of the brakes, windshield wipers, fog eliminators, front and rear lights, vehicle battery, tire safety, adherence to the signs that specify speeds and gradually reduce speed on Turns and slopes, maintain a real safe distance with other vehicles, and avoid distracting behaviors such as using a mobile phone or reading.
