Ankara-Sana
The Turkish lira fell more than four percent against the dollar in weak and volatile trading today, approaching the record low levels recorded last week.
Reuters reported that the lira fell until its value reached 12.85.
The liquidity was low with an increase in the discrepancy between the buying and selling prices, just as it happened in the trading of last week.
The continuous deterioration of the Turkish currency is mainly due to the repeated interventions of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in monetary policy and the rapid changes he imposed in the leadership of the Central Bank.
