Almost every day
there was a sound
that disturbed a family in Brazil: it was the
doorbell
of their house, which rang at times.
But
there was no one on
the other side of the gate
.
They came to think that he was a
ghost
, until they put cameras and managed to
solve the mystery:
his dog was
responsible
.
Giglio Bernini
lives with the dog "
Faísca
" - a
six-year
-
old
American foxhound
- and the rest of his loved ones in the municipality of
Alto Taquari
,
Mato Grosso
state
.
"Sometimes we were busy, doing our daily routine, studying, washing dishes and out of nowhere they rang the bell at random. We were a bit
confused
(...)", he told the
Balanço Geral
program
on
TV Record
.

Bernini had the theory that a presence
from beyond
appeared at the entrance of his house.
“We thought it was a ghost, because suddenly it started ringing and
there were never people at the door
.
We also suspect that it could be
children playing
or someone who
wants to steal the property.

declared to the newspaper
Globo 1
(

).
One day, worried, they decided to
install security cameras
.
And then checked the images: the family pet appeared
infraganti
,
rising up
on its hind legs to
reach the doorbell button
.
A video of the animal in action, filmed by a neighbor in the area, went viral on social networks: it accumulated
millions of visits
.
"We never imagined it would be Faísca
, because we didn't teach him that," Bernini said in conversation with
G1
.
Apparently, as they explained, the dog is
used
to leaving the house and
returning on its own

"He stays loose in the yard, but when someone opens the gate he runs to the street and comes back when he wants.
We never train him
. He is very
intelligent and funny,
" the man assured the same medium.
He was missing for six months
When he was younger, someone
stole
Faísca: he was
missing for
six months
until he was found.
"We reported in the town that they had taken it, although we
could
not
locate it
. After a while they called us and said it was on the street. Probably, the person who stole it raised it somewhere in the region and
ended up escaping
" Bernini recounted.

Finally, he referred to the change that the dog underwent when it was abducted. "He
is very docile
. Before the robbery, he went with everyone, but then he began to
be afraid
of people who are not family. Now it takes a little longer
to
gain
confidence," he told
