Saskia Ludwig is a career woman.
Vocational training with high school diploma, studies, doctorate.
In her mid-twenties she became the managing director of the family-owned company.
Ludwig takes care of civil engineering and pipeline construction from her hometown of Potsdam.
She is also working her way up in the CDU.
District council, state parliament, parliamentary group leader, party leader in Brandenburg, a rapid rise.
For some years now, however, his career has stalled and the time in high offices is over.
Because with her political ambition Ludwig, 52, offends, also in her own party.
The biggest controversy at the moment: For almost ten months she has been sitting in the Brandenburg state parliament and the Bundestag at the same time.
She is also a partner in her Potsdam company.
How does Ludwig manage to manage two full-time jobs and your company at the same time?
And how seriously can someone pursue politics with this burden and represent it to the electorate?
Ludwig has been commuting between parliaments since December last year.
This was made possible because the CDU member of the Bundestag Michael Stübgen was appointed Minister of the Interior after the state election in Brandenburg.
Ludwig moved up for him in the Bundestag.
In this way, she said she could "best serve" the Brandenburgers in her constituency.
In any case, it is only a transition period until the next federal election in autumn 2021.
