Kate Middleton stood out at the UK premiere of
Top Gun: Maverick
on Thursday, May 19.
Surrounded by Prince William and Tom Cruise, the Duchess of Cambridge had climbed the steps of Leicester Square, London, wearing a long black dress topped with a "Bardot collar", a term referring to a wide-necked top and with bare shoulders.
Her outfit was signed by French designer Roland Mouret.
A very remarkable appearance, between simplicity and elegance, which will have been enough to panic the canvas.
According to the Love The Sales platform, searches for the keyword “Bardot dresses” increased by 263% in less than 24 hours.
The wife of the grandson of Elizabeth II can thus boast of having brought up to date this famous boat neck, popularized in the 1960s by the French actress Brigitte Bardot.
To accompany her look, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a pair of Prada pumps and an Alexander McQueen clutch.

Having become a true fashion icon, Kate Middleton also caused a sensation during her Caribbean tour last March.
The mother of George, Charlotte and Louis had multiplied the shimmering outfits and, as usual, increased Google searches for the term "ruffled dress" by 288%, when she appeared in a dress signed The Vampire's Wife.
