The European Union called for a halt to the demolition of Palestinian homes and facilities committed by the Israeli occupation authorities, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of international law and international covenants.
The European Union stated in a statement reported by Wafa that 22 Palestinians, including 15 children, lost their homes on the 23rd of this month as a result of the demolition of their homes by the occupation authorities. In one day, they demolished agricultural homes, barns and buildings under construction, and seized several properties of Palestinians in Jerusalem, Hebron, Ramallah and Nablus.
The statement indicated that the occupation authorities increased the frequency of demolishing or seizing Palestinian homes and facilities by 21 percent during the first nine months of this year 2021 compared to the same period last year, which led to a 28 percent increase in the number of Palestinians who were forcibly displaced from their places of residence. Especially in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
