The Scientific Olympiad Department at the Excellence and Creativity Authority invited students from the fifth grade in basic education to the second secondary school to participate in the team programming competition “The Collective Track” for the year 2021.
In a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, the authority indicated that the opportunity is available to distinguished and interested school students in competitive programming within different age groups from all governorates to develop skills and reveal excellence in the field of informatics, indicating that registration continues until the 30th of this September by filling in the form on the The official page of the authority on the social networking site “Facebook”.
The authority explained that the competition targets successful students from the fifth grade in basic education to the second grade of secondary school who have the ability to program in the C++ language, indicating that it includes three stages. It includes competitions similar to the tests of the World Olympiad in Informatics,” while in the final stage, students are tested in a manner similar to the final tests in the Syrian Scientific Olympiad and the tests of the World Olympiad in Informatics.
Each school is entitled to participate with 3 teams at most, and each team consists of 3 members who participate together in the competition on one computer.
The duration of the competition is 4 continuous hours, and the winning teams are honored and nominated for similar competitions.
The competition is scheduled to be held from the 7th to the 9th of October at the National Center for Excellence in Lattakia.
