La Française des jeux (FDJ), privatized at the end of 2019, continues on “good momentum” in the third quarter with a level of stakes up 4% compared to 2020.

Stakes for the entire quarter amounted to 4.5 billion euros, according to a press release released Thursday by the Française des jeux.
Revenue amounted to € 529 million (+ 5%).

was made both on digital (20% increase in stakes) and in points of sale (+ 2%), according to the press release.

2.2 billion euros in turnover
In detail, for the lottery, the increase in turnover (+ 4%) is driven by that of stakes (+ 6%). Instant play stakes increase by 8% and draw stakes by 2%. For sports betting, turnover increased by 7% despite a 3% drop in stakes which is explained by the fact that the third quarter of 2020 had benefited from the postponement due to the pandemic of sports competitions that were initially planned in the previous quarter as the UEFA Champions League.
