Stakes for the entire quarter amounted to 4.5 billion euros, according to a press release released Thursday by the Française des jeux.

Revenue amounted to € 529 million (+ 5%).

This

"good recovery"

was made both on digital (20% increase in stakes) and in points of sale (+ 2%), according to the press release.

"We are confident in achieving our annual objectives and in our sustainable growth strategy, which combines financial performance and commitment to responsible gaming

,

"

said FDJ CEO Stéphane Pallez, quoted in the press release.

2.2 billion euros in turnover

In detail, for the lottery, the increase in turnover (+ 4%) is driven by that of stakes (+ 6%). Instant play stakes increase by 8% and draw stakes by 2%. For sports betting, turnover increased by 7% despite a 3% drop in stakes which is explained by the fact that the third quarter of 2020 had benefited from the postponement due to the pandemic of sports competitions that were initially planned in the previous quarter as the UEFA Champions League.

"On the basis of its activity at the end of September and with a stabilized health environment"

, the FDJ

"confirms its outlook for the 2021 financial year, i.e. a turnover of 2.2 billion euros, on a basis of in the order of 18.8 billion euros, and an EBITDA margin rate greater than or equal to 22% ”.
