While Chelsea and Manchester City are pushing for the final of the Champions League, scheduled in Istanbul on May 29, to finally be played at Wembley (London), the
Times
understands that UEFA is working on a completely different scenario.
Turkey being on the “red list” of the United Kingdom in terms of destination in the current health context, the European body would consider relocating the final but to Porto in Portugal, country of the “green list”, without excluding the possibility of Wembley.
Recall that Portugal had already hosted the unprecedented Final 8 of the Champions League last year.
