Still stunned by the impact generated by the resounding defeat in the PASO, the Government seeks to give a coup and prepares a package of economic measures with which

Alberto Fernández will

try the first step to redirect his administration.

This was confirmed to

Clarín by

high official sources, aware of the meetings and internal discussions that took place in the Executive during this Monday and the first hours of this Tuesday.

The first reaction of the President after the defeat was to dismiss changes and entrust his team with a package of measures focused on the reactivation of the economy, one of the keys - according to what they understand in the forefront universe - of the low performance in Buenos Aires territory.

This is what the Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero, and the Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, worked on Monday at a summit at Casa Rosada that lasted for more than two hours.

The contacts continue and it is expected that this Wednesday, after the traditional economic Cabinet meeting, they will present the final plan to the head of state.

An increase by decree to retirements and beneficiaries of AUH is analyzed during these hours, outside of the 12.39% increase established -exactly for this month- the mobility law.

There would also be two measures for beneficiaries of the ANSeS that have been working on "for months."

Guzmán is together with Matías Kulfas (Productive Development) one of the ministers most questioned by Kirchnerism, who for several months has been demanding measures to encourage consumption and accompany the sectors hardest hit by the pandemic.

One of those requests includes the return of the Emergency Family Income, the extraordinary payment of 10,000 pesos that from the isolation due to the coronavirus was paid in three installments to more than 9 million people.

For the moment, from the Casa Rosada they deny that this program will be implemented again.

"

The IFE is not going to return

," was the blunt response of a senior government official.

"They are operations without sense", considers another qualified source.

And from the economic Cabinet they reinforced: "The return of the IFE is not something that has been discussed so far."

The only public confirmation of the package of measures that the Casa Rosada is working on came through Kulfas, who admitted that it is analyzing "generating measures to accelerate the recovery of income" and so that the "reactivation that is underway reaches all sectors ".

"There are sectors where the recovery of employment has not yet reached them or they are in informal activities," said the minister in dialogue with AM 750.

But it

is a discussion that does not seem to be settled yet

.

It is that after the coup that the result of Sunday meant, the coalition partners ask Fernández - and consequently Guzmán - to focus on the reactivation of consumption in vulnerable sectors.

But this is not the first time this debate has taken place.

Months ago, the current Buenos Aires Minister of Social Development, Andrés "Cuervo" Larroque, a reference for La Cámpora and a leader close to Máximo Kirchner, publicly requested the "continuity" of the IFE, but Guzmán stood before Fernández and managed to resist the request, in means of the adjustment of public accounts that he planned to advance in the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund.

One piece of information: while sectors of the Frente de Todos coalition warn that the sending of the 2022 Budget could be postponed with the expectation of increasing public spending to encourage consumption, at Casa Rosada they assure that the roadmap continues to be the one drawn up and that the will present this Wednesday, September 15, as established by the Constitution.
