The hypocrisy of the UN once again rises to the surface when it comes to Israel: Sarah Muscroft, who headed the "Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid in the Occupied Palestinian Territories", was forced to leave her post after criticizing the firing of rockets from Gaza towards Israel during the "Dawn" operation.

"I was relieved to see an agreed ceasefire that ends the hostilities affecting both Palestinians and Israeli civilians. Such indiscriminate rocket fire by the Islamic Jihad, which provokes an Israeli response, is reprehensible. The safety of all citizens is above all else - the The ceasefire," Muscroft tweeted on August 8 after three days of fighting and close to a thousand rockets fired mostly into the south of the country.

However, the senior UN official quickly deleted the tweet and issued an apology after waves of criticism from Palestinians, who perceived her words as one-sided.
"One of my previous tweets was not updated and I deleted it. I sincerely apologize for my poor judgment. All citizens, everywhere, must be able to live in peace," she wrote.
Her account was subsequently deleted but the damage was already done.

A spokesman for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed this today (Saturday) and said that Moscroft "will be transferred to a new position" soon.
This is another embarrassing case on the part of the United Nations in the face of a tweet by one of its officials, which in total condemned the shooting of a terrorist organization towards a civilian population non-stop and for 72 hours.
In Jerusalem, they followed closely and with great interest the developments on the subject.
A political official told "Israel Today" that "this is a case that illustrates the hypocrisy of the United Nations when it comes to Israel."
