Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed today that President Vladimir Putin's speech at the Valdai International Forum for Dialogue will not affect Russian relations with the West, pointing out that Moscow will remain part of Europe.

In response to whether Putin's speech at the forum, in which he criticized the West's approach to all issues, will in turn affect relations with the European continent, Peskov told Sputnik Agency: Russia was and will remain an indispensable part of Europe.

Pointing out that the West's dominance of world affairs gives way to a more diverse system, Putin said, "The changing balance of power presupposes a redistribution of shares in favor of developing countries that feel neglected." The twentieth century gave way to a more diverse system.”

Among the issues that Putin focused on at the forum was the food crisis around the world, explaining that in a number of countries and even in entire regions, a food crisis appears periodically, expressing his belief that this crisis will become more serious in the near future.
