The activities of the Youth Theatrical Festival, which is held by the branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union at the Dar Al-Assad Theater for Culture in Lattakia, on the occasion of the organization's 54th anniversary, included purposeful theatrical performances.
The performances deal with the story of a tale or a novel, the aim of which is to elicit the talents of young people, refine and develop them, and deliver awareness messages to the youth segment;
Because they are the largest segment of society, according to the vision of the young directors participating in the festival.
Rabih Roumieh, head of the Organization Office in the leadership of the Revolutionary Youth Union branch in Latakia, stressed the union’s keenness to pay attention to artistic talents, in addition to accommodating all youth ages from 13 years old to 35 years old.
Roumieh indicated that this festival constitutes a step to launch in the field of acting and theater for youth cadres, who have promising talents and potentials.
The first show of the festival came under the title (Press Release), under the supervision of the Association of Martyr Nicolas Abboud, and the work of writer Mamdouh Adwan and directed by Eva Khadouj as her first directorial experience, which confirmed to SANA reporter that the Revolution Youth Union is a supportive platform for young talents, indicating that the idea of work speaks of The yellow press is able to interpret events to serve its interests.
Yassin Haidar, an actor in a play, noted the importance of the media and its active role in exposing the intimidation and lies practiced by the yellow press.
As for the second show, it was titled (Identity) under the supervision of the Martyr Noman Ibrahim Association, written, directed and starring Yazan Samer Nasser, and sheds light on the war and conspiracies that Syria witnessed, through the story of a Syrian family in a mountainous rural environment, living the events of the martyrdom of her son and what afflicts this family From aches, pains and difficult dreams.
At the end of the show, the director of the work, Yazan Nasser, stressed that the nation needs to imprint the imprint of love and loyalty to its soil fragrant with the pure blood of the martyrs.
The third performance of the festival entitled (Waiting for the Car), directed by Haider Taha, where Hanan Jamous, Secretary of the Association of Martyr Samee Kusa, stressed the importance of this theatrical performance;
Because it highlights new young cadres who have proven their talent on stage.
And between the actor Dithar Ibrahim Al-Sawda and the actress Inji Scaife on the importance of standing on stage;
Because it develops skills, breaks the barrier of fear and shyness, helps the actor to pronounce correctly, and enhances his self-confidence.
